I am an experienced data professional who likes working with both the cultural and technical aspects of data. I currently work as a senior data consultant at Recordly. Being a founding member of growth-oriented data consultancy has taught me a lot about the business side of data, too.

As a people lead I helped my team grow in their roles and paths in Solita and also managed internal development efforts. Recruitment has also been a part of the job. As a consultant I worked with our biggest customerships in different roles, such as Solutions Architect, Product Owner, Data Engineer etc.
Data Scientist
We started an internal start-up focusing on bleeding edge data solutions both in terms of tooling (cloud services, big data tools) and what we were solving (Big Data, Data Science, Machine Learning). My role was doing pre-sales, PoCs and some long-term customer cases too. I worked primarily on AWS.
Business Intelligence Specialist
I transitioned to the world of BI/DW within a customer case I was working on. I used traditional ETL tools such as SAP BODI, SSIS, Talend and reporting tools like Cognos. During this time we also started our first AWS assignments. There I worked as a lead developer with Java and Vanilla JS.
Software Developer
I worked in our company's largest project at the time: a tailormade ERP with a huge scope. I worked on maintenance and end-user support at first - gradually shifting to new development as I learned the system. Tech stack was the classic Java EE of the time: Java 6, Spring, JSP, Hibernate, MuleSoft for integrations and Oracle as the DB.

I worked as a project lead and developer in a collection of data-intensive projects.
Azure Data Platform Finnish forest industry client
I worked as a Lead Architect in a large Data Platform project. The platform is developed in Azure using native components and Snowflake as the DW. We are also delivering trainings and management initiatives to help the customer become data driven on a large scale.
UPM Data Champions UPM
I was leading our training efforts at UPM. We did two 9-month programs with almost 50 participants altogether. The program consisted of three modules and the participants learned programming and data processing in Python, Machine Learning and some DataOps + MLOps practices.
Industrial Internet Platform Finnish industry client
I worked as a Product Owner on a large Industrial Internet initiative. We worked on different business solutions with over 20 developers. My role was to define and refine business needs for the team to work on. I reported to the project steering group.
Sanoma Big Data Sanoma
My first AWS case was also a very good project for future learnings. We built a solution to analyse user engagement and other KPIs across Sanoma's sites. I created the calculations done in EMR (Java) and also important features to the tracking part in vanilla JS.
